New Appointed Representatives (AR) rules came into effect on 8 December 2022. These considerably increased the requirements on principals with new information, notification and reporting requirements and additional oversight requirements. The new oversight requirements include an annual assessment of each AR and an annual self-assessment of the principal’s oversight. Boards must approve their board assessment by December 2023.
